The mission of the Blanchard Police Department is to enhance the quality of life in the City of Blanchard by working cooperatively with the public and within the framework of the U.S. Constitution to enforce the laws, preserve the peace, reduce fear and provide for a safe environment.

Community Relations

Blanchard PD strives to maintain a healthy relationship with the citizens of Blanchard by interacting positively with them.

Frequently the Blanchard Police Department engages with the community on a positive level during various festivities and proactive programs.

Proactive Policing

The practice of deterring criminal activity by showing police presence. It includes activities such as the use of police powers by both uniformed and plain-clothes officers, engaging the public to learn their concerns, and investigating and discovering offenses and conspiracies to commit crimes so that the crimes cannot be committed.

Quality Training

Officers of the Blanchard Police Department go through not only the standard requirement of police training but even higher standards established by the city government. Oklahoma standards of training are 25 hours of continuing education training, whereas BPD standards are 96 hours per year.

Blanchard, Oklahoma. A beautiful community and a wonderful place to call home. At present, the population is estimated at around 10,000 people. A short drive from Oklahoma City.

Seen in the picture to the left is the May Dayz celebration from 2021. So many times throughout the year the City of Blanchard hosts events for the citizens to enjoy like Veteran's Day, Mufflers on Main, Pumpkin Festival, Christmas Parade and more.
